WEB DEVELOPMENT
Despite "the web" having been around for a while, it has never been more important than now. Every day, we use various web applications to simplify our lives, whether it's booking flights or sending a contract for digital signing.
The biggest difference between web applications and mobile apps is that users don't need to download any app. They simply run the program directly in a web browser that supports both mobile devices and computers.
Another advantage is that updates can be made quickly. There's no need for third-party approval to update a web application.
Web applications are something we at Third Act build daily, and we're excited to hear about your idea.
OUR PROCESS
It all starts with a hello. We'll have a digital meeting where you can present your idea. No questions are too simple or too complicated, and many clients walk away with valuable insights.
If we click, we'll move on to dive deep into the requirements specification for your project. An excellent way to do this is to conduct a workshop together where we go over the specifics of your project.
Once we know what needs to be built, we can give you an indication of price and schedule. We rarely do projects at a fixed price; we believe it's bad for both parties and seldom creates the best end result.
Time to delve into the user experience, which is so crucial. We create wireframes (like a skeleton for your application) and find the path to the best user experience. Then it's time to add color and shape to everything because isn't it lovely when it's really sleek?
Now it's time to code and turn sketches into reality. We place great importance on ensuring the code is of high quality and scalable.
Now that things have begun to materialize, it's time to start testing parts or the entire system. Encountering bugs that need to be solved is a completely natural process in software development.
You may have seen SpaceX launching rockets that explode?Yes, those are actually bugs (at a slightly higher level, of course).
What everyone has been waiting for. Time to launch and let your app meet the world. We will assist you throughout the process.
Let's face it. All technical projects will encounter problems sooner or later. That's why it's reassuring to have a support agreement where you, as the customer, can feel confident that someone will answer the phone and help when needed. Want to further develop the project? No problem - we'll find a setup that suits you.
Third Act is exactly what we, as a company in a traditional industry, need – someone who questions and thinks innovatively. New perspectives, new design, and a good, stable structure. I really appreciate that they cover all aspects of development, from UX to backend. It also doesn't hurt that they're a great team to communicate with.
COMMON QUESTIONS
You can find the process here:
SERVICES -> APP/WEB DEVELOPMENT
This naturally varies depending on the project. But to give you an idea:
Small project/MVP: 3 months
Medium project: 6 months
Large project: 12 months+
We rarely offer fixed prices. We don't believe it's a good model for either party. It removes all the flexibility that makes a project as good as it can be. But don't hesitate to contact us anyway - there are exceptions!
After the launch, we sign a support agreement where you can feel confident that we're available if anything goes wrong.
Third Act has been delivering projects since 2018, but many in the team have much longer experience than that.
We always want to base technology choices on the task at hand. But if we have favorites:
Cloud: Microsoft Azure
Backend: Rust
App: Flutter
Web: Angular
Design: Figma
Of course. In fact, we always build with scalability in mind from the first line of code. We want to give our customers the best opportunities to succeed.
The project's cost is calculated based on the number of consultant hours required. In most projects, you need a team with a combination of different skills, such as project management, design, app development, backend development.
